Moo, Moo, Moo

I rushed from work over to Knutson's Ranch in hope to see a calf be born. I wanted to see life begin, new. Two wooden posts marked the entrance to the Ranch. I was excited, I hoped to be there on time. Even though there are many babys that are born, not everyone gets chances to see a baby cow being born.
I was a slim five minutes late. I felt disapointed, but still excited at what I would get to see.
What I saw before me was truly amazing, I saw this mother who just had this baby and she is cleaning her baby off. She would clean and nudge her baby, she was trying to get her baby to get up. They like to get their baby up to start walking as soon as they can. After some trials the mom seemed worn out because she ended up laying by her baby for bit. There were numerous cows in the pen just corner from where this Mommy Cow had her baby and they were all watching to see, it was like they knew what was going on. Within a few minutes of rest, she was back at her baby to get up. There were several times the baby came close to getting up on all fours, after some falls the calf was up to walking.
